The Pewter Society, a United Kingdom organization founded in 1918 as the Society of Pewter Collectors. The oldest society devoted to a specialized field of antiques. Its objectives are the study and understanding of old pewter, its documentation, restoration and preservation, and the history of its manufacture.The Worshipful Company of Pewterers is the original craftsman's guild that can trace its existence in the UK back to the 14th century.
